Izumi Sato (MPH, Public Health/Epidemiology, University of Tokyo, 2010; PhD, Health Science, University of Tokyo) is a pharmacist and a Program Specific Assistant Professor in the department of Pharmacoepidemiology in the Graduate School of Medicine at Kyoto University. She is also a researcher in the Keihanshin Consortium for Fostering the Next Generation of Global Leaders in Research (K-CONNEX) based in Kyoto, Japan. Most recently, Dr. Sato joined the Rutgers Center for Pharmacoepidemiology and Treatment Science where she is conducting research as a Visiting Scholar. Her current interests include validation studies for real world databases, psycho-oncology and potential inappropriate medications among elderly patients.
