Abner Nyandege

About
Abner Nyandege (Ph.D., Virginia Commonwealth University) is a Research Project Manager at the
Institute for Health, Health Care Policy, and Aging Research. His major responsibilities involve data
management and statistical analyses of Medicare and Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD)
databases, with a focus on older adults. Previously, he was a Research Project Manager at the
Institute’s Community Health and Aging Outcomes lab where he primarily managed and analyzed
Medicare Databases for research projects focusing on understanding how to optimize community
health systems to improve outcomes for older adults and people of all ages who are living in the
community with disabling chronic conditions. His previous experiences include pharmaceutical
consulting and industry work where he provided planning, statistical programming, processing and
analysis of healthcare claims data (MarketScan and Optum databases) to support health economics
and outcomes research.
