Matthew Iozzio (MBA, Finance & Marketing, Rutgers Business School; MPP, Nonprofit Management, Rutgers Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy) is the Associate Director of Finance and Administration at the Center for Pharmacoepidemiology and Treatment Science and is also the Associate Director of the Institute for Health Survey/Data Core. Matt is one of the founding members of PETS, joining around the formation back in 2017.
As Associate Director at PETS, Matt provides strategic planning for new initiatives and development of PETS, has oversight of all financial modeling and budgeting processes at PETS and for several large research grants, leads key marketing initiatives, and manages a variety of research and administrate ventures. Additionally, Matt is involved with directly supporting the submission of research proposals, and serves as a project manager for several active research projects at the Center. Matt also serves as one of the key representatives for PETS with various stakeholders in the IFH community, Rutgers University administration, and other external stakeholders.
In his role as the Associate Director of the IFH Survey/Data Core, Matt is responsible for the oversight, day-to-day management, strategic and financial direction, and administration of the Core. He interfaces with existing and potential users, IFH and Rutgers University leadership, and external organizations. Additionally, he is responsible for continuing to refine and develop the Core policies and operating procedures, including financial modeling, and the overall administration of the Core. He is a member of the IFH Core Oversight Committee.
Prior to joining IFH and PETS, Matt worked with several volunteer and nonprofit agencies in various roles and also worked full-time at the Rutgers University Police Department where he managed the operations of the Community Service Officer Program.
