Tobias Gerhard, director of Rutgers Institute for Health, Health Care Policy and Aging Research and founding director of the Center for Pharmacoepidemiology and Treatment Science, chaired the board of directors meeting at the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology’s 2023 Mid-Year Meeting in Reykjavik, Iceland in April. Gerhard is president of ISPE.
Gerhard provided opening remarks for the scientific conference and participated in a panel presentation on “Pandemic Driven (Real-World) Data Shifts” during the conference.
This year’s mid-year meeting theme was RWD Pandemonium During a Pandemic: Lessons for Future RWE Generation and Decision Making? ISPE’s mid-year meeting focuses on the next generation of pharmacoepidemiologists and serves as an opportunity for students and recent graduates to present research and engage with top researchers in the field.
